Osama Bin Laden encourages masturbation amonmg his henchmen

The US seized a lot of documents from the compound of Al-Qaeda founder, Osama Bin Laden during the 2011 raid in which he was killed. Due to national security and sensitivity issues, most of those documents have not been released to the public. In 2015, US officials refused to release details on the 'extensive' porn collection found in Osama bin Laden's Pakistani hideout because of the 'nature' of the material.

Nigerian Army arrests Soldiers thatbrutalise disabled man

Two soldiers who beat up and brutalized a physically challenged man in Onitsha, Anambra state, Nigeria, drew the ire of many Nigerians.

However, the injustice did not go unpunished as the Nigerian swiftly responded by arresting the 2 soldiers responsible.

The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to a video clip in which two soldiers were seen maltreating a physically challenged person for allegedly wearing a camouflage shirt.

We wish to inform the public that the incident took place on Tuesday 7th February 2017, at Onitsha, Anambra State.

In line with our zero tolerance for acts of indiscipline and unprofessional conducts especially in relation to violation of human rights, we wish to further state that the soldiers involved have since been identified and apprehended.

They have also been charged for assault by their Commanding Officer.

Similarly, troops have been warned to desist from such acts that infringe on human rights and cast serious aspersions on the good image of the Nigerian Army.

The public should please regard this ugly incident as an isolated case which is not true reflection of the Nigerian Army.

Meanwhile, soldiers in Yobe state are under attack as suspected Boko Haram militants that overran Sasawa town near Damaturu, the Yobe state capital early on Monday, February 6, have burned down the community.

The insurgents attacked the town located 27 kilometers to Damaturu and burned down practically the entire town.

The insurgents also reportedly attacked a military base in the town and drove out the soldiers stationed there.

Nigerian Universities That Admits Without JAMB Results –
I do believe this publication will come handy to many who
must have been struggling with Jamb and admission into
the various higher institutions of the country. Well for many,
using Jamb to gain admission into the various universities
in Nigeria have become an uphill task because they have
repeatedly failed to make it past it .
As at now,passing your Jamb is no longer an issue but
making it through the Post Jamb is another hurdle which
have kept many out of higher institution for a very very long
time. Well even at that, some higher institutions in the
country have and are admitting students into their various
programmes without the use of Jamb and that has been the
sole aim why we have decided to publish this article on
Nigerian Universities That Admits Without JAMB Results.
The List of Universities In Nigeria That Admit Without JAMB
are below.
NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA.
This institution established by the Federal Govt does not
actually require her applicants to write JAMB or tender any
JAMB result before entry into the institution. The Features
of the university is listed below.
– No JAMB result needed
– Get the Application Form and get admitted within 3
days
– They are located throughout Nigeria
– Over 32,000 students
– For undergraduate, Diploma, Certification,
Postgraduate, Masters & Ph.D Programmes
– No strike period
– Four years course
IJMB in UNILORIN, UNIVERSITY OF ABUJA and ABU ZARIA:
This is not Jamb but is called the INTERIM JOINT
MATRICULATION BOARD. From research it shows that
applicants are to apply for an A level program of 9 months
after the completion of the programme, candidates will
qualify into 200 level in the above listed Nigerian
Universities through Direct Entry. Please all applicants are
to note that this INTERIM JOINT MATRICULATION BOARD
programme is a legitimate program and you can see it  in
the JAMB brochure.
The INTERIM JOINT MATRICULATION BOARD programme
only needs your  is o’level result which should include the
following Waec, neco, nabteb etc.
THROUGH DIPLOMA OR BASIC OR PRE-DEGREE : From
research, we have discoverd that many Nigerian
Universities if not all do offer a diploma and/or pre-degree
program. For Diploma programmes, they run for about
1/2/3 years. This time duration is largely dependent on the
school and course which the applicants is studying. When
you are done with this programme, you automatically get
admitted into 200 level through direct entry programme if
you actually make it.
Then for Pre-Degree, it runs for 7 months to 9 months. The
time duration is dependent on the school When you are
done with it and do very well in the examination by
surpassing the cut of mark, you are given admission into
100. BASIC in UNIPORT is just the same thing as the Pre-
Degree.
SOME PRIVATE INSTITUTIONS (MADONNA etc) : In some if
not all private institutions in the country, one can get
admission without the use of JAMB. Only the needed
qualification will be the applicants O’ Level Result. Before
the final clearance, your O’ level results must be ready.
I do believe that this piece of information will be very
helpful for those who must have been struggling to gain
admission due to JAMB issues.

The Reach Cambridge Summer scholarship essay
competition is designed for academically excellent high
school students aged between 14 and 18 who would
otherwise not be able to attend the School’s summer
programmes. Please note that this scholarship
competition is not for application to the University
of Cambridge.
Essay Topic:
“What do you think your country could
learn from other countries, and what do
you think other countries could learn
from yours?” N.B.: You are welcome to
refer to either your country of birth or
your country of residence – whichever
you wish to write about.
Application Deadline: 1 December 2016
Eligible Countries: All
To be taken at (country): Cambridge University, UK
Type: Essay contest
Eligibility:
Applicants must be between the ages of 14 and
18, and currently studying at high school.
The students must complete the essays
independently – they must be original non-
plagiarised work.
The closing date for scholarship applications is
1 of December 2016 at 23:00 GMT. We will
only consider full applications submitted by
this date. A full application is one that includes
an answer to the essay question and all other
questions on the “Scholarship” tab, the letter
of recommendation from your school, and also
has the following sections completed on the
account page: School Transcript, Signature,
Parent Info, School Info.
Applicants from fee-paying schools will only be
considered if their letter of recommendation
confirms that they attend the school on a
scholarship.
The prizes provide without charge all those
items ordinarily covered by the program fee,
including accommodation, all excursions,
lectures, theatre trips, workshops and tuition,
and half board meals.
These prizes do not include those items which
are not ordinarily covered by the program fee:
flights; transportation to/from Cambridge at the
start and end of the program if travel is
undertaken independently; third meal of the
day (half board is provided); optional
enhancements shown to have an extra fee;
snacks, drinks and meals purchased away from
the program; pocket money and souvenirs;
books for credit courses and classes; laundry
(aside from bed linen); travel insurance,
medical insurance and any medical or dental
fees.
It is not guaranteed that Reach Cambridge will
offer scholarship prizes to any of the
candidates. Reach Cambridge reserves the right
to not award scholarship prizes.
Shortlisted candidates will be notified by 31st
December 2016.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an
online interview in early January 2017, and
will be notified of the outcome by the end of
January.
The author of the students’ recommendation
letter may be contacted for further
information.
The final decision on prize winners rests with
Reach Cambridge Ltd. By submitting an
application for the scholarship the student
agrees to respect and honour the decision
made by Reach Cambridge.
By submitting an application to the scholarship
competition, the student agrees to assist with
promoting the scholarship scheme if awarded a
prize.
The successful applicant also agrees to their
name being published on the Reach Cambridge
website, as well as on its social media pages.
The student must have permission from a
parent or guardian to accept the scholarship.
Scholarship prizes are conditional on parental
approval – a parent/guardian will be required
to sign a declaration that they accept the Reach
Cambridge terms and conditions and rules and
regulations.
By applying for this scholarship, the student
agrees to abide by the Reach Cambridge terms
and conditions and rules and regulations,
available on our website, as well as these
scholarship terms and conditions
Students do not have to pay a deposit before
applying for the scholarship.
Please note that all terms and conditions for
Reach Cambridge courses, including the
cancellation policy, also apply for scholarship
applicants.
Selection Criteria: To craft a good essay requires
careful argumentation, clear structure and
personality. It is these characteristics that we will
look for in judging applicants’ essays. We will also
take into account the letter of recommendation
supplied by your school.

Value of Contest: Winners of the Reach Cambridge
Summer Scholarship Essay will be awarded with
First Prize: 3 week scholarship prize (awarded
to a maximum of 2 students): 100% of the
program fee for our 3 week Program 1
(Explorer) in 2017.
Second Prize: 2 week scholarship prize
(awarded to a maximum of 3 students): 100%
of the program fee for either our two week
Program 2 (Leader) or our two week Program
3 (Scholar) program in 2017.
Please note that both prizes include all those items
ordinarily covered by the program fee. They do not
include the cost of flights, or other items which are not

How to Apply: In order to enter the Reach Cambridge
Summer Scholarship Essay competition, follow these
simple steps to complete a full application by the 1
of December 2016 :
Follow the link below to set up a Reach
Cambridge scholarship account (do not use the
“apply” button at the top right of our website –
you cannot set up a scholarship account
through that link)
From your main account page, select the
“Scholarship” tab on the left
Copy your essay into the box provided (it
should be no longer than 1000 words ). Answer
all other questions on the page.
A letter of recommendation from a member of
staff at your school must be sent to
scholarship@reachcambridge.com directly,
using an official school email address. This
should be written on headed paper, and should
outline why you are a good candidate for the
scholarship: it should tell us what makes you
academically excellent, and it must give us
some indication of your financial
circumstances. For example, if you attend a
fee-paying school, the letter must specify
whether you attend the school on a
scholarship, or whether you are full or part
fee-paying. It must include contact details for
the member of staff so that we can contact
them for further information if necessary. This
is the only part of the application that should
come from your school – the rest needs to be
completed by you.
You must also complete the School Transcript,
Signature, Parent Info, and School Info sections
of your account. Please note that if you do not
complete all these sections of your application,
we will not consider your application. They
should all be “ticked” on your account page
before the deadline.

Governor of Abia state, Okezie Ikpeazu, has promised
to revamp the educational system in the state, saying
“the state would soon notice a complete change and
revolution in education, as government has put in place
a framework to ensure that model schools spring up in
the three senatorial zones”.
He made the commitment while addressing
participants at the National Television Authorities
(NTA) National Arts, Science and Technology
competition ETV (EXPO) 2016.
Receiving the trophy won by the students in the
competition, at the Government House, Umuahia, the
governor also gave cash rewards to the students as
well as teachers of schools that emerged as winners.
The schools which are located in Aba, the commercial
centre of Abia State, include Dorothy International
college, emerging overall best, with a cash reward of
500,000 Naira, while the first and the second runners –
up, Divine College International and Victory
International College, were rewarded with 300,000 and
200,000 Naira respectively.
The teachers and NTA crew were equally given 500,000
Naira each.
Governor Ikpeazu expressed joy that “Abia by the
victory, has again made a statement in the educational
firmament of the country”.
Furthermore, he said, “the greatest strength of the state
lies in her human resources, and I think that the state
can always work out her destiny.
“I want to commend the schools, especially the college,
for consistently doing the state proud and I
congratulate the teachers and students for their hard
work and perseverance.
“Regrettably, Nigeria as a nation has been unable to
apply the fallout of research efforts, and this
administration cannot afford to ignore the impact of the
inventions by the students.
“This government will do everything possible to take
the research by these students, another step forward to
see if it can be replicated commercially, the governor
added.
Meanwhile, Mr Ikpeazu stressed that his administration
would sustain the efforts towards bringing positive
changes in the education sector, to further create a
conducive teaching and learning environment in the
state.

Stakeholders caution FG on History

Stakeholders have called on the Federal Government to
tread with caution in the area of the commencement of
the reintroduction of History in the curriculum. They
argued that the absence of availability of trained
History teachers and a formal curriculum may impede
the decision by the Minister of Education, Mallam
Adamu Adamu.
For Mrs Toyin Sode Idowu, an educationist, she said
that the initiative would be a waste if the right teachers
and standard text books for History is not put in place
before the implementation of the new policy. Her
words, “ I love this development , but hope the
reintroduction does not begin this session. There is
need to train History teachers and get standard
textbooks before getting History back into the
classrooms, else the essence of reintroduction  of
History will be lost.
The Principal Consultant/CEO Leading Learning
Limited, Dr Folasade Fisayo added that the next step
education policymakers have to take in  the
reintroduction of History was to formulate a curriculum
that would better appreciate the diversity and richness
of Nigerians. “ The curriculum is vital and I believe we
will evoke a History curriculum that will build
appreciation and love for our country via its diversity
and richness.”  added Fisayo
A parent, Chioma Eke( not real names) on her part
noted that History reinstallation into the curriculum
should not be only a medium of extolation of past
leaders but it should encompass also those the
negative abuses of their authority, to enable future
leaders learn from part mistakes.
“The history of the political leaders of Nigeria should
include their deeds, their feats and of course their
corrupt practices. Children in Nigeria should be able to
read about corruption of leaders just as the world is
reading about the evil deeds of Hitler. This will evoke
a heart of change for good deeds.  So, the move to
bring back History is good.
Adeogun Kayode, a journalist  while noting that proper
teaching and learning of History would raise a
generation of young people that will better appreciate
the intricacies and intrique of leadership . He rejoiced
that the three arguments for the earlier remover of
History from the curricum are now history themselves.
His words, “ The three arguments for removing History
that included, the dearth of History teachers; lack of job
for history graduates and students apathy to the
subject lacked merit.
