Dammy krane to host mega concert, enlists wizkid

Nigerian pop sensation Dammy Krane has proven that he is a formidable force in the Naija music industry with his forthcoming concert where he has the support of his A-List colleagues.

Titled "The Amin Concert", artistes from Davido to Olamide, Timaya to the Iconic Tubaba and the legendary King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall A. K. A Kwam 1 and many other music stars are set storm the Ultima Studios, located at Funke Zainab Usman street, end of Admiralty way, Lekki Phase 1 on February 18.

Now, did we tell you that Mr. Eazi, the current Headies' Awards Next Rated act who is signed to Wizkid-owned Starboy Record label, is also one of the headliners of this concert?

This has finally put to rest the speculation that things have not been the same between Dammy Krane and Wizkid since their much publicised fall out last year.

Dammy Krane would have probably enlisted Wizkid as one of the performing acts on that day, but we are presuming the latter's recent tight schedules abroad could be responsible. However, it is heartwarming that Wizkid could release the biggest selling brand in the Starboy label after him to be on this show.

Meanwhile, If you think the only date to look forward to in February is the 14th (Valentine’s day), you are mistaken!

Dammy Krane, alongside your favourite Nigerian artistes are definitely set to light up Lagos on the 18th of February with intimidating line up of stars he is announcing for the #theaminconcert.

We can also confidently announce to you that the concert will also mark the launch of Dammy Krane’s ‘ The Amin Foundation’.

Osama Bin Laden encourages masturbation amonmg his henchmen

The US seized a lot of documents from the compound of Al-Qaeda founder, Osama Bin Laden during the 2011 raid in which he was killed. Due to national security and sensitivity issues, most of those documents have not been released to the public. The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) recently released one such file which sheds light on Osama's liberal views towards masturbation.

In a memo marked top secret, he wrote to one of his trusted aides in North Africa saying that in the extreme conditions of being kept separate from their wives, the terrorists could masturbate.

In the letter, he wrote:

'Another very special and top secret matter - it pertains to the problem of the brothers who are with you in their unfortunate celibacy and lack of availability of wives for them in the conditions that have been imposed on them. 'We pray to God to release them. 'God is not ashamed of the truth. 'As we see it, we have no objection to clarifying to the brothers that they may, in such conditions, masturbate, since this is an extreme case.'
The letter goes on to say:
'The ancestors approved this for the community. 'They advised the young men at the time of the conquest to do so. 'It has also been prescribed by the legists when needed, and there is no doubt that the brothers are in a state of extreme need.'
It will be recalled that American soldiers recovered a huge porn stash from Osama's compound.

In 2015, US officials refused to release details on the 'extensive' porn collection found in Osama bin Laden's Pakistani hideout because of the 'nature' of the material.

Officials also refused to describe what kind of porn was kept in the bin Laden household.

The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to a video clip in which two soldiers were seen maltreating a physically challenged person for allegedly wearing a camouflage shirt.
We wish to inform the public that the incident took place on Tuesday 7th February 2017, at Onitsha, Anambra State.
In line with our zero tolerance for acts of indiscipline and unprofessional conducts especially in relation to violation of human rights, we wish to further state that the soldiers involved have since been identified and apprehended.

LAGOS SET TO TRAIN A MILLION RESIDENTS IN COMPUTER CODING

Ahead of the much anticipated roll out of CodeLagos, the Lagos State Ministry of Education on Tuesday said the programme would seek to teach at least one million Lagos residents to code by 2019 and also foster necessary skills to create sustainable solutions to social challenges and create employment opportunities.

The government also announced the commencement of the screening and selection exercise for facilitators for the programme.

In April 2017, three hundred (300) Coding Centers across six (6) Education Districts in Lagos State will be commissioned, marking the beginning of the CodeLagos after-school programme in both public and private schools – primary, secondary & tertiary. Centers will also be set up at State public libraries and other community spaces.

Speaking at a press briefing, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Mr. Obafela Bank-Olemoh, said that; “CodeLagos will not only cultivate a savvy workforce to drive our mega-city, but it will generate employment and business opportunities as we mobilize up to 1,500 facilitators in 2017 alone.”

“CodeLagos is an initiative of the Lagos State Government which aims to teach one million Lagos residents to code by 2019. The program will foster necessary skills to create sustainable solutions to social challenges and create employment opportunities.”

Bank-Olemoh also underscored the commitment of the State Government, under the leadership of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to position Lagos State as the technology frontier in Africa saying it was also in line with the Lagos Smart City initiative in partnership with Dubai Smart City.

He said the application process, which is primarily online, entails a submission of bio-data and completion of a general assessment, while successful applicants will receive world-standard trainings on the necessary skills areas.

“Qualifying candidates must be available to participate in all the required trainings which would be provided by the State in collaboration with private sector partners within the technology sector. They must also be willing to commit at least 12 hours weekly to facilitate CodeLagos courses at designated centers upon the launch of the initiative in April,” he said.

The application portal, Bank-Olemoh said, opened on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, and is accessible on www.codelagos.org
