FEDERAL MINISTRY OFEDUCATION UNVEILS 2016-2019 STRATEGIC PLAN--MUST READ

MUST READ! SEE WHAT FG SAYS ABOUT EDUCATION.

Federal Government Unveils 2016-2019 Strategic Plan For Education Channels Television.  Updated August 29, 2016 The Federal Government has released a new road map to guide the Ministry of Education to address the myriads of challenges confronting Nigeria’s education sector. The strategic plan comes as part of efforts to reposition Nigeria’s education sector to play a central role in the Federal Government’s philosophy of change. The Minister of Education, Mr Adamu Adamu, unveiled a draft of the 2016-2019 Ministerial Strategic Plan on Monday in Abuja, the Federal Capital territory. Mr Adamu reaffirmed government’s commitment to strengthening institutional structures and creating innovative strategies aimed at revamping the education sector. He asked Nigerians to team up with the Federal Government to salvage the sector and return it to the path of excellence. The 2006 to 2015 Education Master Plan launched under the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo was meant to fashion out new policies that would enable the sector emerge from its declining status, especially on issues pertaining to Nigeria’s ‘Education For All’ policy and infrastructural decay occasioned by institutional and legislative constraints. The expiration of the policy in 2015 gave the need for a new strategic plan. On his part, the Minister for Niger Delta Affairs, Pastor Usani Uguru, attributed the fallen standard of education to the failure of past governments to regulate the teaching profession. The Director, Department of Educational Planning, Research and Development, Magdalene Anene-Maidoh, also highlighted the focus of the strategic plan. She expressed hope that the new plan, when adopted and implemented by the experts, would arm Nigerian youths with the skills they require to face the challenges of the 21st century.

HOW TO MAKE A FIRST CLASS AGAINST ALL ODDS IN ANY UNIVERSITY

This post teaches you to make a first class even if you have llst all hopes.

1. You need to really want it To put it bluntly, if you want to get a first class degree you have to be prepared to put in maximum effort – this isn’t for the faint hearted. While we know you wouldn’t turn down the offer of a first, the depressing reality is you can’t just pick one up at the local pound store (not the last time we checked anyway). The people who end up achieving are the people who have a passionate desire – minus the sloppy music and cinema style kisses – to do the best they can. This means planning, organisation and not leaving your assignment until the day before, even if you “do work best under pressure”. Yeah, we all know that one’s rubbish really. If you’re really struggling to get a grip on planning then check out our six steps to organisational heaven or see your university study service. Think about the reasons you want to get a first, write them down and stick them on your wall. Whenever you feel like crumbling they’ll stare at you like an angry parent. No one wants that on a hungover Sunday morning. 2. Research, research, research intenseresearchWhile not quite as famous as the three Rs (relocation, relocation, relocation, obvs) research is a key part of doing well at university. If you have the attitude of ‘I’ve been to my lectures and seminars, I’m done’, then you may as well quit now. You have to make an effort and you do that by digging out books, searching for journals and articles and searching the famed world wide web. shrew-clip-art-1-look_it_up_TTo get a first class degree you have to read around your topic (outside of the reading list) and interpret the ideas for yourself – always be critical as while your lecturer may not agree it shows you are driven by the subject. The majority of students who achieve firsts will spend hours and hours researching and pooling together critical opinions with their own thoughts. Don’t fret about spending ‘hours’ researching, though. Chop up your time and slot an hours reading in here and there. It’s hard to specify how far in advance you should do your research, as long as you don’t find yourself there on Monday night poring through ten different books on astrology when your deadline is Wednesday you’ll be fine. 3. Make the library your best friend bestfriendsUse the library – and not just as a place to sit in despair the day before your assignment is in. Once you’ve dragged all your books back to your dwelling place, read, read and re-read if you don’t understand something. Don’t just rely on the internet as a source of all wisdom; the best students will use a range of different sources from ancient textbooks to online journals. First-class assignments use critical sources wisely. Whatever you do, don’t drop a critic’s name without a reason. You’ll get sussed. Understanding the critics and making a decision whether you support or oppose their views is extremely important. In the case of a written essay, a first class degree student will suggest one of their own ideas and then use critical sources to support them, not the other way round. 4. Brush up on your presentation presentationA large proportion of students miss out on a first class degree simply because of their presentation skills. Correct spelling, punctuation and grammar are vital as they act as the cement which glue together a well-written sentence or paragraph. “If. you write, sentence like this” then you’ll lose marks immediately. Great written skills help you to convey your ideas effectively… and effectively conveyed ideas are what your examiner will tick, tick, tick! As far as these skills go, nobody is perfect. Universities offer help and advice to anyone who has problems with writing techniques or phrasing and grammar. You name it and there will be someone to help. Most unis will also offer day-time sessions to improve key skills. These are definitely worth trying, even if they only as a reminder for things that are hidden deep in your psyche. Don’t forget that writing style is worth an extremely large chunk of your degree mark. 5. Harass your tutors helpmeplzWe must point out this does not mean following them home and peering through their windows at night! Book tutor appointments often, whether to talk about feedback, ideas or simply how you’re getting on. Tutors are paid to be there for you and to help you when you’re struggling. Make them earn their money… hug-club-clip-art-208Arrange a meeting by email or after a seminar and be prompt. If you have had results back from previous assignments marked by them, take them along and ask them to go through any improvements you can make to your writing or ideas. Make sure you question them about any single query, no matter how trivial it may seem to you. Now we don’t want you to literally badger your tutor as it might get us into trouble but you should always ask questions and spend a lot of time with your tutor during the whole semester. Even if you are not a hard worker they’ll probably assume you are if you’re constantly getting in touch. 6. Attend all your lectures lecturesaresleepyOkay, so earlier we did say something about researching being top dog, but that’s not to say you shouldn’t go to lectures. Turning up to all – yes all – of your timetabled hours is the very least you should be doing to get the most out of your degree. While it may not seem the most inviting prospect at 8am on a rainy Wednesday morning, it’s the very minimum you need to be doing. Trust us, the slides online will not contain all of the information you’ll go through by actually going. And who really wants to waste £9,000 a year? Make sure to check out our top tips on how to get the most out of lectures too. 7. Study at university, literally uselessbrainSo, studying at university is a bit of a given, but we mean this in a literal sense. Lying at home in your bed, or even just sitting at home in your PJs, is not conducive to a good work ethic. Even if you don’t know it yourself, your brain connects certain environments with certain scenarios. Bed = sleep, library = study. Get up, get dressed and get down to the library right now. Yes. Now. 8. Ditch your Facebook addiction facebookpleaseEveryone loves a bit of Facebook stalking. Who wouldn’t want to look at the outfit your best friend’s second cousin’s girlfriend wore to their engagement party two years ago? That said, as great as time wasting is, spending your life on your computer is not only bad for your grades, but your social life too. Between us, Britons will spend an average of 62 million hours on Facebook every single day, which is quite possibly the biggest waste of time in the history of the world. So, close the window and get on with your studying. Deactivate your account if need be – don’t panic you can get it back – just do whatever you need to to escape its clutches of time wasting doom. 9. Pick topics you’re passionate about excitedThe whole point of doing a degree should be your passion for the subject, so this shouldn’t be too tricky. While not every assignment is going to thrill you, try and choose a topic you have a connection with, even if it’s only based on your love of the word cheese. You’ll definitely be more inclined to spend time writing the aforementioned essay and the best assignments ooze a level of enjoyment on the part of the writer. You’re also much more likely to impress prospective employers if you’ve spent several years honing a specialism that’s not drinking to excess. 10. Find a study buddy studybudyNo matter how good your motivation, there will always be days when you need a kick up the backside. Socialising with people on your course will not only make hard work significantly more enjoyable, but also help you come across new ideas and approaches. No matter how hard you study, people will always have a different take on stuff to you and can offer help with any tricky problems. That and they can update you on all the latest gossip too. Win win. 11. Make sure to take a break breakupmovieSounds counter-intuitive, but trust us, it’s not. If you don’t make space in your study diary for a little down time, you’ll burn up or just procrastinate even more. Whether you’ve got a secret addiction to Sex in the City or enjoy the odd night out at the pub, make sure to schedule some time in for things you enjoy. Having funzies will mean you’ll be much happier and more inclined to study more productively. 12. Stay healthy i'vegotabugAgain, this isn’t strictly study related, but your health can have a huge impact on your ability to study. Make sure you stay fit and active – it sounds strange but exercising can give you a huge energy boost. We’ve got a huge list of ways to stay active for less, as well as way to cut down on your gym costs. Similarly, make sure you eat some meals that aren’t pizza. If you’re stuck for inspiration check out our cheap and easy recipes section. And finally… We must point out there is no way to guarantee anyone a first class degree (if only), so don’t take this guide as your passport to success. lefty-clipart-leftyWhat we can say though, is the people who take the time to read and follow these tips should end up being much more engaged and committed to their studies, so you’ve made a good start. It’s also worth mentioning that not everyone will get a first and that is totally okay. After all, it is hard to achieve for a reason and some of the most successful people don’t even have a degree.

Description
The global economy has achieved a high rate of growth, due mainly to positive capital investment and the expansion of production capacity based on growing demand from emerging economies, along with the development of resource-producing economies and rising resource prices. The growth, however, has been sluggish for several years as a result of various factors including the structural slowdown of the Chinese economy. In fact, the slowdown of global trade, which has served as the driving force for the growth of the global economy, is notable, and even manifests itself today as a situation referred to as “slow trade,” in which the growth rate falls below that of the global economy itself.

Meanwhile, in recent years, the development of information and communication technologies utilizing the Internet has brought about a variety of innovations in production and marketing, application, and function of commodities, and is leading to the creation of increasingly more value including the advancement of services. Trade in services such as intellectual property, tourism, and services not previously presented has grown steadily, although the increase in commodity trade has slowed down in the current global economic climate. Thus, it is very important to reexamine the state of trade and grasp the global economy from a new viewpoint.

From this standpoint, Japan turns out to be no exception. The number of foreign tourists visiting Japan recently has increased significantly and trade in services including the travel balance has expanded rapidly, while commodity trade has been stagnant. For Japan as a trade-oriented country, facilitating trade not only in commodities but also in services could contribute to maintaining the global environment, developing technologies, and creating a market for new services. This is a policy challenge when considering the future growth of the Japanese economy.

In order to grow steadily trade in services such as intellectual property and achieve development of the global economies as well as that of Japan, what kinds of efforts and initiatives would be required of trading activities going forward, in addition to the expansion of conventional commodity trade? Moreover, under these circumstances, how can Japanese companies, in particular, shosha that develops businesses in various places around the world, adapt themselves to trade in services; and how can they play their part in trade expansion while working out innovation?

Please send us your constructive suggestions from a global viewpoint based on innovative ideas for a new meaning of “global trade and the role of Japanese companies” which would enable sustained prosperity in the world.

4 WAYS TO GRADUATE AND BE A HAPPIER PERSON

Let's be frank…

Which of these situations will you say yes to?

A situation where you graduate with a lot of cash in your bank account, or a situation where you finish school with virtually nothing in your bank account?

For me it’s a big "Yes!" for the first mentioned situation as opposed to the second.

With enough money at hand after graduation you will be able to easily and conveniently move around, print your CV and credentials, buy recharge cards and internet data to browse job portals, and so on without having to ask daddy or mummy for money.

But more interestingly, if you are more inclined to starting your own business after school, the money can even serve as capital for business.

After studying a good number of persons who were able to graduate with substantial amount of money in their bank accounts, it became obvious that by making deliberate plans, a student can avoid becoming a flat broke fresh-graduate.

How?

The answer is to use one or a combination of any of these 4 ways:
Source: http://graduatewell.com.ng/advice/4-ways-to-graduate-with-plenty-cash-in-the-bank

#1. Graduate with an astonishing CGPA

This is not always as easy as it sounds however, it’s on 'internet record' here and there that students who are able to graduate with stunning CGPAs get rewarded financially.

Remember the UNILAG 5-pointer; Ayodele Dada? He got 1 million naira for his record setting achievement. Also, in 2014, 160 first class graduates who are indigenes of Anambra state got 1 million naira each courtesy of their Governor; Peter Obi. And the list goes on.

Imagine the relieve that comes with getting 1 million naira credit alert just few days after your graduation in a world where most of your mates will be broke and in despair of what next to do with their lives.

But again, I must say that graduating with a first class is not a guarantee that you’ll be given cash; I know a good number of first class grads who didn’t get 1 kobo. But setting a record like the UNILAG 5-pointer seems to guarantee financial rewards.

Now…

On a lighter note, I see that Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) have made it a habit to reward students who graduate with first class results; so you might want to migrate to MFM if you decide to choose this way.

#2. Student challenges and Competitions

Students challenge and competitions are a way students can become wealthy while they prepare to graduate from school but only a few students have been able to use it.

In my research, I notice that student challenges and competitions can be classified into 2: The small wins and The big wins.

The small wins refer to student competitions and contests that reward winners with small amount of cash; usually less than 1 million naira. They always revolve around essay or writing competitions and design contests. You can find such contests online; naijawriterscoach.com, naijacompetitions.com and opportunitiesforafricans.com are helpful in this regard.

The big wins are student competitions and contests that reward winners with millions of naira (mostly thousands of dollars). But most of such contests are tilted towards student entrepreneurship and social ventures. (Check studentcompetitions.com/competitions, gsea.org among others).

I know a good number of students who gathered a lot of small wins and eventually graduated with a chunk of cash in the bank. I have also met a few others who won big sums of money participating in the big wins.

You can choose this way too.

3.STARTING A PROFITABLE BUSINESZ

This way needs no too much explanation. It simply refers to coming up with a profitable business idea and pursuing it.

A lot of students who started businesses on campus graduated with enough money in their accounts that

2016 NEXT SYSTEM ESSAY COMPETITION

2016 Essay Competition FOR UNDERGRADUATES on the Next System

The Next System Project is pleased to announce our national essay competition on the next system. Judged by a panel (to be announced) of highly respected scholars associated with the project, we will award three $5,000 first prizes for the best original essays by an undergraduate, a graduate, and a non-student. Three runner-up prizes of $500 will also be awarded. We aim to publish a compilation of the best essays submitted.

The current system is failing all around us. The economy is stagnating. The political system is stalemated. Communities are in decay. The lives of millions are compromised by economic and social pain. Violence is endemic among individuals, communities, and nations. Civil liberties are eroding. Near-record numbers of citizens remain incarcerated. Underemployment, inequality, and ecological despoliation deepen day by day. The planet itself is threatened by climate change. A generation of young people expects to be worse off than their parents. The very idea of building a cooperative community of caring responsibility has faded from public discourse and common understanding. It’s time to talk about what’s next. It’s time to talk about the next system.

Topic

“But if you don’t like the present system … what’s your alternative?”

The time has come to think boldly about what is required to deal with the systemic difficulties we are facing. It is time to begin a real conversation about genuine alternatives. It is time to develop thoughtful, system-building answers to system-threatening challenges. It is time to debate what it will really take to move in a new direction capable of producing sustainable, lasting and more democratic social, economic, and ecological outcomes.

To this end, we are launching a national essay competition on the next system. We’re throwing open the debate to a wide range of contributors willing to do the hard work of moving beyond critique to proposing solutions in the form of comprehensive alternative political-economic system models and approaches that are different in fundamental ways from the failed systems of the past and present. Such visions might include not only core economic institutions but also – as far as is possible – political structure, cultural dimensions, transition pathways, and so forth.

An indication of what we mean by systemic alternatives can be found in the contributions to our ongoing series “New Systems: Possibilities and Proposals.” A preliminary list of questions that might be involved in alternative systemic design can be found in the comparative framework we developed to guide that series. But we don’t want to be overly prescriptive about the form or content of these essays. Beyond these suggestions, it’s up to you.

ASUU KICKS AGAINST APPOINTMENT OF NEW JAMB RRGISTRAR. SEE WHY?

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU has kicked against the appointment of former Vice Chancellor of University of Ilorin, Professor Ishaq Oloyede as JAMB Registrar, calling for his probe. Professor Is-haq Oloyede Professor Is-haq Oloyede It added that his era as Vice Chancellor was characterized with anti-democratic and anti-union antecedents. ASUU President, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi while addressing journalists in Lagos said: “Given our inside knowledge of his anti democratic and anti-union antecedents, Professor Oloyede is the last person that we expected to be so honoured with a national appointment of that status in the education sector.” According to Ogunyemi, Oloyede ‘s anti-workers stance stood out in the case of the sacked UNILORIN 49. “He led the administration’s team to as far as Lagos to testify falsely against the workers before the Industrial Arbitration Panel,” Ogunyemi said. He said that when academic staff were reinstated in 2009 by the Supreme Court, Oloyede, as VC then refused to fully implement the orders of the Court. Ogunyemi pointed out that in 2008, Oloyede as VC said that UNILORIN is happy without ASUU, while at the same time collecting money from UNILORIN academics in the name of ASUU without remitting same to the Union. Ogunyemi who accused Oloyede of nepotism said: “As VC of UNILORIN, the system was manipulated to favour his son and daughter and within weeks, gave them awards for overseas training despite explicit regulations against the practice.” He also said that in May 2012, Professor Oloyede as VC, suddenly doubled the amount of pension being deducted from UNILORIN staff under the pretext that the deductions were not enough, adding that this was in contravention of the Pensions Reform Act which prescribed 7,5 per cent. The ASUU President said: “The above represent some of the reasons why the Union is appalled that Oloyede has been offered an appointment to head the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board. “The Union has resolved to lodge an official complaint with the appropriate authorities and to demand investigation into the activities of Oloyede while in office as VC of UNILORIN. “

WHY DO DOCTORS HAVE SUCH BAD HANDWRITING? LET'S HEAR FROM YOU

SAW THIS QUESTION ON NAIRALAND TODAY AND KNEW YOU MIGHT BE INTERESTED. LETS HAVE YOUR REASO.S IN THE COMMENTS SECTION BELOW..

Why do doctors have such bad handwriting? Many people think most docs have atrocious handwriting. Why? Did they always have this condition? Do they teach it in medical and dental school? Being a dentist, I think I know the answer. Firstly doctors do not have bad handwriting, they just choose to write badly. This is not a conscious decision to confuse people, but an unintentional consequence of viewing other things as more important or urgent in the moment. These are the same people who have developed fine motor skills for precise surgical procedures. They CAN move a pen and write well.
Why? From personal experience, I have three writing styles. One is artistic and legible, the second is legible but occasionally a little more messy, and finally I have the doctor chicken scratch. Why do I "choose" to write messily? Like I mentioned above, we may be in a time crunch, usually not rushed, but mentally, writing takes on less importance than other things going on at the time. Even if we are not in a hurry, we immediately place the importance of a legible signature, etc. below that of a patient's time, the patient waiting in the next room and the much more important (to us at the time) of putting all our energy into diagnosis and treatment concerns.
As an aside, in the past there was a certain shorthand used for prescriptions that would mean, say three teaspoons that would be just a squiggle that the pharmacist would understand. These days it is still important the pharmacist and other health care professionals understand orders, prescriptions and notes. Thank goodness for the development of paperless solutions and computers. Oh, and spell check too!

WORLD MOST PAID AUTHORS-THESE AMOUNTS WILL SHOCK YOU

The World's Highest-Paid Authors 2016: James Patterson, Jeff Kinney and J.K. Rowling Top Ranking

Natalie Robehmed ,  FORBES STAFF
I cover media and entertainment.

This story appears in the August 23, 2016 issue of Forbes. Subscribe
If you don’t write down to kids, you have a better chance of reaching them.”

James Patterson tops the ranking for the third year in a row with a $95 million pretax haul. (Photo credit: Brian Harkin/Chicago Tribune/MCT)

THESE WELL-HEELED wordsmiths earned a combined $269 million over the last 12 months, proving that the written word isn’t dead–although television and movie adaptations often help drive sales.

To wit: Zoo, a thriller from the inescapable James Patterson, scored a second season on CBS, while Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin benefited from clamorous interest in the hit HBO series based on his fantasy novels.

Patterson topped our list for the third straight year, earning $95 million pretax, while children’s author Jeff Kinney placed a distant second, earning $19.5 million.

“I wrote the first Diary of a Wimpy Kid for adults,” Kinney, the highest-ranked kids author, told FORBES. “The whole time I thought I was writing comics for grownups, and then my publisher told me I had actually written a children’s series. If you don’t write down to kids, you have a better chance of reaching them.”

Patterson, too, has banked off the world’s young readers. He publishes four to six children’s books a year and in 2015 launched the Jimmy Patterson kids imprint at publishers Little, Brown & Company of Hachette Book Group, to host his and other writers’ juvenile output.

“The hardest job with kids is to get them into the habit of reading,” Patterson told FORBES in 2015. Not for lack of material: Publishing’s richest penman (and his co-writers) cranked out more than a dozen books in our scoring period (June 2015 to June 2016). His latest endeavor are so-called BookShots, bite-size bargain novellas aimed at boosting readership among the screen-obsessed masses.

Rounding out the top three is J.K. Rowling ($19 million), whose Harry Potter series continues to mint money like magic, even as her readers age. Universal’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme parks ply visitors with jugs of butterbeer and $50 wands, while new play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child premiered as London’s hottest ticket in July. The play is Rowling’s first Potter story since 2007′s “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows;” performances are sold out until May 2017.

Full list: The World’s Highest-Paid Authors 2016

Earnings estimates are compiled by examining print, ebook and audiobook sales from Nielsen BookScan figures, considering TV and movie earnings and talking to authors, agents, publishers and other experts. Earnings are tabulated from June 2015 to June 2016 and are pretax; other fees are not deducted.

The only newcomer to the ranking: Paula Hawkins. After “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” and “Gone Girl,” her novel “The Girl on the Train” is the latest literary phenomenon with a calculating female character to hit the bestseller list. It sold 11 million copies worldwide; a movie version hits theaters in October.

“Fifty Shades of Grey” author E.L. James (No. 8) profited from those popcorn-munching moviegoers when she vaulted back onto the 2015 ranking following the release of the Fifty Shades of Grey movie; she reportedly tied up a tidy share of the film’s net income. Her earnings are up $2 million to $14 million this year after shifting 168% more units than a year ago, thanks to the release of “Grey,” a retelling of the erotic novel from the male protagonist’s perspective.

More writers will evolve from Nigeria. God help our country.I know you're thinking of becoming one right now.

UI 2016 TO START ADMISSION PROCESS IN 2 WEEKS. VC ADMITS CONFUSION.

UI TO MAKE STATEMENT
CONCERNING ADMISSION IN TWO
WEEKS TIME – UI VC
ADMIT CONFUSION OVER JAMB POLICY
UI aspirants should get ready. The admission policy of the University of Ibadan for the
2016/2017 academic year would be released in the next
two weeks according to the Vice Chancellor of the
University, Prof. A. I. Olayinka.
The University head stated this while fielding questions
from the correspondents of UCJUI who interviewed him
recently in his office.
“In the next two weeks maximum. The problem is we
don’t want to make a policy and then tomorrow, the
government comes up with something else,” Prof.
Olayinka said as he mentioned that the University
authorities were monitoring the moves of the new
Registrar of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board
(JAMB) whether he would reverse the decision of his
predecessor.
The UI VC decried the policy of JAMB which stopped
universities from conducting Post – Unified Tertiary
Matriculation Examination (Post UTME) which he said
had over the years improved the quality of students being
admitted into the University.
“May be up to 2003 or 2004, quite a large army of
students were being asked to withdraw at the end of
(their) first year on account of poor academic
performance. We have statistics to back it up and it was
a national problem,” Prof. Olayinka said.
But with the conduct of Post UTME, the University had
continued to admit the best students Nigerian secondary
schools had got to produce as he said “we recorded our
best (result) last year when 1.9 percent (of matriculants)
were asked to withdraw”.
On the next of students to be admitted, the Vice
Chancellor said, “left to me, they should not be more than
3, 500” as he considered primarily hostel accommodation in
the University  could not cater for more than 8, 300
students including post graduates and medical students
at Alexander Brown Hall, UCH.

SOUTH KOREA TO INVESTIGATE GOOGLE AGAINST ANTI COMPETITIVE BEHAVIOUR

The probe opens another regulatory front for Google.
South Korea’s antitrust regulator said on Friday it is looking into whether Google  GOOG -0.21%  has violated the country’s anti-competition laws, acknowledging formal scrutiny of the global internet search company for the first time.

The Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) disclosed the investigation in a brief statement, without commenting on the nature of the probe nor any potential antitrust violations. A person familiar with the matter told Reuters last month the KFTC inspected Google‘s Seoul headquarters in July.

The antitrust body’s statement came after a local media report said the KFTC had decided to clear Google of anti-competition charges involving the pre-loading of the company’s apps on smartphones running on the Android operating system
